Sky's Embrace
The morning exhales a soft, damp breath.
Below, the city stretches,
a sleeping giant under a dim haze.
High above, the first touch of sun
begins to tease the edge of night.
A shift. A subtle whisper of air.
"The clouds parted like the pursed lips of desire",
revealing a sliver of intense blue,
a promise unfolding.
Light spills, first tentative fingers,
then a widening palm across the rooftops,
igniting edges,
chasing shadows from alleyways.
The world awakens,
not with a shout, but a slow, unfolding hum.
Life begins to stir,
a gentle tide rising with the sun's climb,
each ray a quiet affirmation.
