A New Etheree Poem Any Theme Poetry Contest- Sponsored By Tania Kitchin.

Written on 20th February 2025.

* Sun Wakes up, Golden streaks Pierce the landscape. Casting long shadows, Fading as the sun soars And are gone at the zenith The days end and its now sunset, Then the twilight casts shadows again And the night closes in on us once more.

Dear Tom, your poem beautifully captures the cycle of the day in such a serene and reflective way.I love the way you paint the passage of time, from the golden streaks of sunrise to the calmness of twilight. It’s like you’ve captured the quiet rhythm of life itself—how everything comes full circle, fading into the night and starting again with the dawn. It’s simple, yet profound, and has such a peaceful flow to it. Always impressed by how you find beauty in the everyday, my friend!

I always find it weird how we Soupers sometimes seem to share similar thought waves. You’ve just written the passage of a day, while my most recent effort is the passage of a night. Enjoyed your etheree and wish you well in the contest. Cheers, Tom. Terry

Dear Tom, I loved how your portrayal of the sun’s journey throughout the day is beautifully succinct, capturing the ebb and flow of light so perfectly. I can almost feel the warmth of those golden streaks and the quiet shift as daylight fades into night. It’s a lovely reflection on the passage of time. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Wonderful imagery and Etheree Tom, you held the shape very well, just like the first step pyramid, the use of zenith, twilight, and shadows works beautifully, I can only see a winner here, cheers David

Wow! I'm new to the "Etheree" form but it looks like you're the "Master Yoda" of this type of poetry, Tom! Love the imagery and the way the whole poem is symmetrically well balanced and interconnected. Great looking pyramid shape as well. (I spent 11 years in Egypt near the pyramids, so I know what they look like!) Kudos My Friend

Thank you very much Terrell, I'm happy you enjoyed it, I love the etheree form and always challenge myself to make it look like a pyramid, it takes time swapping words to try and get it into a near pyramid shape as possible. Enjoy your weekend. Tom

How beautiful is your etheree dear Tom, I absolutely love the flow and also the way youv painted imagery in such a soft and delicate manner, showing us through your word weaving the rising and setting of the sun. I love sunsets the most and i love this form and you did an amazing job! Especially love the ending the most! So seamless! Definitely a top winner! Best wishes always and hope travels go well for you too. Sending you light always.
