Dearest David! Unforunatelly, you can find Jekyll and Hydes on this very site. I was so gullible when I came here. I forgot that the world right here. There is no door that keeps the nutcases out.Poetry soup is no exception.. Enjoy all the fun… and the great people that you will meet along the way. Thank you for being you, You are a very good person and that counts to me first. Read some of the poetry. Golly,so mean. Old days had kindness and class. Love, Pangiexx

Yes, I know a few of those two-faced types myself, and I never understood how one family member can treat another so badly... You capture such a personality so perfectly in this well rhymed piece. Great writing, David :)

I love it! ?? It’s witty, well-structured, and has a sharp little bite at the end--literally! The Jekyll and Hyde comparison is clever, and the last line delivers the perfect punch.

Yeah, true. But I prefer the old days of passing a football around.

I have a few in my family tree also. Of course, with 14 siblings, there are more than one.

David, this is a cute and funny limerick. A pleasure to read. Now...who would be an example of such a person? Could your relative have turned into a Trump supporter? Sounds like there's something troubling that happened to the person in their early childhood that is now being triggered! Smiles! (Of course I could be totally off)

Thanks for reading and commenting, and with funny thoughts. Maybe their desire for not being family oriented any more equals our desires to write, for example; who knows.

Great title! lol a fun one David! I love this form but struggle with it as my ability to write good humor sucks!

Thanks Karen! Yet the end of your comment would be a decent limerick punch line; maybe?

Beware of more than a bite on the hands - For Jekyll has teeth that turn into fangs - With necks he's obsessed - For they bleed the best - Perhaps it's a fascination with glands….. Beryl

Thanks Oliver. It's like he's friendly and you can pet him(figuratively), but you never know what you're going to get.
